I’ve been back almost a week now from my sailing trip to France. It was amazing. We shot over a 1000 pictures, of course most of them are junk, but here and there you find a few keepers, but thats photography. Highlights of the trip were the countless number of deserted bays we stayed in over night, surrounded by the French Riviera on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. The water was a beautiful shade of a clear azure blue, and in many of the bays we stayed in you could easily see the ocean bed in depths of up to 10 meters. Off the coast of Monte Carlo I found a beautiful shell sparkling in the mid day sun while snorkeling. Marseille was beyond expectations. Simply beautiful, especially the old port. Our starting point, Port Grimaud, is also known as little Venice and is one of the prettiest little towns I have ever seen or been to. Aside from all the sights that France offered, one of the most memorable moments of the trip was hoisting sails in a good 20-25 knot wind, and our boat Clementine pushing at least 9.5 knots with a good amount of tilt.
